Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Juan Acosta was born on March 15, 1981 in Rochester, New York. His love for drawing and painting came at an early age as he was doodling pictures of cars and buses while in preschool. In grade school he would find himself getting into trouble as he was drawing various landscapes and cityscapes instead of paying attention in class. Often times he would be found with a sketchbook and pencil in hand as he was always making observations on his own making various still-life sketches from whatever objects he could find. When he was in the eighth grade, Juan Acosta was enrolled into the School of the Arts in Rochester, NY where he began to explore various dry and wet media. This was where he was first introduced to charcoal and soft pastels,...
